In the current economic climate it is more important than ever to have job experience that sets you apart from the crowd when applying for a job.
One of our main aims of 'Picture Yourself Hull' is to get students with a variety of different skills involved in the evolution and running of the website over the next couple of years. By doing this we can give students from Hull University and Hull College valuable experience, working with a real business where their handy work can be viewed by thousands of people each year.
What are we looking for?
Photographers: Making up the bread and butter of the website are the photographs. If you are an ametuer photographer and have a genuine interest in the subject and its prospects then you should definetly get in touch.
Models: Getting modelling experience can be hard to come by. If this is something that you are interested in then we are looking for models to voluteer to be photographed for use in the website's graphics, logos and adverts.
Writers: From reviews to articles, the website will be venturing into the world of the written word next year. We are interested in putting together a team of 15 who will be responsible for the content on the site so if you think you have the skills then make sure to get in touch.
Web designers: Improving our site is always on our mind so if you think you can bring something to the table then 'get on to us'! But then again, if you're not a web designer and know how we can improve our website please tell us anyway, your views are important to us.
Programmers: In the coming year we have a number of projects in mind that will require the skills of a couple of programmers. If you are studying Computer Science and want some great experience then contact us.
